Has anyone had any luck with returning very, very lightly used gear with no tags?

I was excited to take my brand new Fast and Free 6” shorts for a rip last night, since I love the leggings. However, I quickly found that they majorly ride up on my thighs—there doesn’t seem to be anything I can to/any way I can adjust them to stop it.

I ran for less than 2 km before calling it quits as I was too uncomfortable.

Do you think there is any way I could return them, even for store credit? I’m guess probably not (no tags, and I wore them once) but i thought it doesn’t hurt to ask and see if anyone has experience with this.
