I was thinking about one of my still favourite sweatshirts today and thought this sub may enjoy it as an example of very early Lululemon. I purchased this around 1999 from Chip’s proto-store (cross the street and upstairs from the flagship store on West 4th and Arbutus). The store also sold custom bathing suits at the time and I actually had gone there to have a bikini top made for me. I left with this hoodie. My memory is that this was a shared store with the bathing suit store - or maybe the store was just carrying some of Chip’s stuff. There are no Lululemon tags, and the logo is fully hand embroidered on. So funny to see the flame design on the hood - still bringing in Chip’s Westbeach design ethos. Cool to see how he incorporated the logo into the front pocket. Apologies for the pet hair - I still love and wear this today!
