I found Lululemon 4yrs ago during my last pregnancy when I was looking for something lightweight and with full-coverage for my chest and arms in the summer. I have since lost all pregnancy weight (and unfortunately all my shape). I have settled on a size 12 which is comfortable because it’s long enough in the arms and torso. But it’s loose. I haven’t questioned the fit until last night after I was in the store to try on the Deep Marina color. I tried the 12 and then came out and asked an employee if I could try a 10 and she quickly grabbed it. After trying it, I told the employee I would be keeping the 12 because I felt like the 10 looked too small on me. She looked surprised and asked if I was sure.
I couldn’t stop thinking about her reaction (even though it was very subtle) and now I’m feeling self-conscious that maybe I’m wearing a totally wrong size and maybe it looks bad. I tried it on again at home and the arms are definitely baggy - maybe moreso than the jacket in these pictures.
I don’t love the way I look (I would prefer to be in better shape/more shapely) and so I’m not interested in highlighting that with a tight jacket. But does this jacket look so loose, that it looks bad? I don’t want it to be attention-grabbing, either way.
The pictures are screenshots from a video and a picture that one of my kids took the other day. So the image quality is not great, but it shows how the size 12 hits where my legs bend (which is exactly the length I prefer). And it shows how loose it is.
I am 5’11" 36/29/39, and 145lbs.
