okay I feel like I’m going CRAZY, but I just bought the metal vent midweight 1/2 zip and it’s UNBELIEVABLY static-y, literally causing all of my arm/stomach hair to stand straight up and crackling like crazy when I put it on/off. I have not washed nor dried it - I tried soaking it in water but that didn’t help. Is anyone aware of this happening with this fabric? Is it known that this fabric might actually cause static electricity and is there anything that can be done to eliminate the static entirely?

I’ve read online that dryer sheets or baking soda can help but that seems crazy for a brand new item

The tag reads: silverescent technology, powered by X-Static, inhibits the growth of odor causing bacteria on the garment.

I’ve never had this happen to any of my other lulu (or really any piece of clothing) before.

I would really like to keep this piece because I love it, but there’s just no way it can be worn with the amount of static it brings.
