I feel like many people appreciate (and some are frustrated by) Lulu’s relative ignorance of trends in the activewear world. Classics (mostly) reign supreme and that’s fine, I can get trendy pieces elsewhere if I want. But the scarcity marketing? Tell me why I feel anxious about having the opportunity to buy something? Why bring back something beloved in small quantities to sell it out in the blink of an eye? I feel like influencer brands made this more prominent with activewear and I hate seeing it here too. Everything is a timed drop (and there are so many!) and you don’t want to miss out, forget to use an affiliate code, etc.
I know how upset everyone is over the return of Butter Cream that came and went. I was lucky enough to snag a define but missed out on capris in my size. I wish that LLL would be more responsive to demand—I have seen many posts here and on socials about people waiting a year for this color to come back only to find out it sold out before they even knew it dropped. I feel for those who were super excited about this relaunch and weren’t able to get what they wanted.
